Multicultural Dinner
This is the biggest event of the year, and usually takes place in the Spring. Each grade studies a different country, and displays their work on the walls of the school. Parents and members of the community are invited to view the displays and then to share a potluck dinner in the gym/cafeteria. Each grade is assigned a type of dish to bring, e.g. main dish, side dish, dessert, and everyone is encouraged to bring something from their own culture (or the country being studied, if preferred). A nominal entrance fee is charged, which is higher for those not bringing a dish to share. Members of the community are welcome to attend this event, even if they do not have children at the school.
Volunteers are always needed to supervise the food tables, collect money, etc.
If you would like to volunteer at this or any other event, please contact gespta@greenbelt.com
