Regular meetings are open to Members and visitors. The Annual Meeting comprises two separate meetings: The Annual Membership Meeting, at which any proposed changes to the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, as well as any other properly notified old or new business issues of the Cooperative, are heard and decided by the Membership, and vacancies on the Board of Directors are filled by election. The Annual Membership Meeting is open to Members and visitors. The Annual Board Meeting (immediately following the Membership Meeting), at which Officers of the Cooperative for the upcoming year are appointed and other principal jobs, committees and activities are assigned to volunteers. Minutes of the Annual Board Meeting June 12, 2001  Leonie ? 2000 ANNUAL MEETINGS At the 4th Annual Membership Meeting on June 6, 2000, Members of the Greenbelt Internet Access Cooperative filled three vacancies on the Board of Directors. The newly-elected Directors are Doug Love, Mary Camp and Peggy Bates. (Three of nine Board seats remain vacant.) Fifteen of eighty-seven enrolled Members were in attendance, plus five guests. Audit Committee chair Jim Bates was honored as GIAC Member of the Year in recognition of his successful planning and coordination of the most extensive audit of GIAC financial and membership records undertaken to date. Audit Committee member Mary Halford was awarded a GIAC Certificate of Appreciation and a monetary gift in recognition of her major contributions to the upgrade of GIAC financial accounting procedures and tax reporting. Minutes of the Annual Membership Meeting June 6, 2000 At the Annual Board Meeting immediately following, Directors appointed Officers of the Cooperative for the upcoming year. The newly-elected Officers are Gilbert Lee, president; Mary Camp, vice president; Norma Van Allen, acting secretary; and Peggy Bates, treasurer. Volunteers were also appointed to fill principal roles and committees. Minutes of the Annual Board Meeting June 6, 2000 1999 ANNUAL MEETINGS At the 3rd Annual Membership Meeting on June 8, 1999, Members of the Greenbelt Internet Access Cooperative filled six vacancies on the Board of Directors. The newly-elected Directors are Dan Andrews, Ed James (one-year term), Gilbert Lee, Neil McLeod, Shawn O'Neil and Norma Van Allen. Eighteen of eighty-seven enrolled Members were in attendance. GIAC Founder Doug Love was honored as GIAC Member of the Year. Minutes of the Annual Membership Meeting June 8, 1999 At the Annual Board Meeting immediately following, Directors appointed Officers of the Cooperative for the upcoming year. The newly-elected Officers are Brian Schieber, president; Gilbert Lee, vice president; Bill Dupree, secretary; and Doug Love, acting treasurer. Volunteers were also appointed to fill principal roles and committees. Minutes of the Annual Board Meeting June 8, 1999 1998 ANNUAL MEETINGS At the 2nd Annual Membership Meeting on June 9, 1998, Members of the Greenbelt Internet Access Cooperative filled five vacancies on the Board of Directors. The newly-elected Directors are Carol Bailey, Ralph Bram, Doug Love, Neil McLeod and Brian Schieber. Changes to the Cooperative's Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws were also approved by the Membership. Twenty of seventy-six enrolled Members and two visitors were in attendance. Minutes of the Annual Board Meeting June 9, 1998 1997 ANNUAL MEETINGS The 1st Annual Membership Meeting of the Greenbelt Internet Access Cooperative was held on June 10, 1997, at the Greenbelt Police Station. Four new Directors were elected to the nine-member board, Nancy Revis, Greg Meyer, Jim Heagy and Chris Morris.
