Preliminaries The 2000 Annual Board Meeting was held in the Senior Gallery at the Greenbelt Community Center, immediately following the: 2000 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING Attendees: Directors - Peggy Bates, Mary Camp, Gilbert Lee (presiding), Doug Love, Neil McLeod Members - Anne Andersen, Carol Gordon, Ray Stevens Gilbert Lee called the meeting to order at 9:21pm. Peggy Bates moved the preliminary agenda be approved without change; Gilbert Lee seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Preliminary Agenda Leadership Transition Officers: Peggy Bates nominated Gilbert Lee for President and Mary Camp for Vice President; Gilbert Lee seconded the nominations. Gilbert Lee nominated Peggy Bates for Treasurer; Neil McLeod seconded. Neil moved the full slate of nominated candidates be elected by acclamation. The motion carried unanimously. Other Business Classes: Neil suggested a class series to teach basic website development by building neighborhood pages for the Community Website. A decision must be made regarding what level of development tool (HTML editor) should be used for basic classes. [Neil uses an ASCII editor, not a user-friendly approach for beginners.] However, Neil volunteered to overview certain structural and testing techniques that simplify website maintenance. Flyers: Neil reminded that GIAC once had collected posting rules and schedules for various bulletin boards around town. Peggy suggested that we get flyers out to those not attending meetings. Voice Mail: Gilbert will change the voice mail passcode. Detailed voice mail procedures, including the monitoring duty roster, are linked from the GIAC Home Page. Conclusion The next regular meeting will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 8, in the conference room at the Greenbelt Police Station.
