Schools
The public school year usually starts the
3rd week of August, and registration before this date is strongly
recommended, so that teachers, buses and other resources can be
allocated for the correct number of children. Registration usually
starts in May or June, and you can contact the school directly to
request a registration packet. Requirements include proof of
residency (e.g. mortgage or rental agreement) and immunization record
from a doctor.

The Greenbelt Mamas
& Papas is a group for babies up to 4-year-olds and their
parents. They hold weekly meetings in the Youth Center or a nearby
playground, to allow parents to meet and chat while the children
play. There is also an opportunity to chat online with other
