Housing in Greenbelt

Apartments: There are several apartment complexes available in the Greenbelt area, including Lakeside North, on Ridge Rd next to the police station and across the street from Buddy Attick lake park.

GHI's: Located in a crescent around the core of Old Greenbelt are the Greenbelt Homes Inc. small co-operatively owned townhouses.  These are owner-occupied, but the owners pay a fee to GHI in return for services such as plumbing and electrical repairs.  Sometimes owners will offer a room for rent. The web page for GHI is at: http://www.greenbelthomes.net/  Check out the local newspaper, the Greenbelt News Review, for rooms for rent, or place a "Wanted" ad.  The paper comes out on Friday, and their office is located in the Community Center.

Townhouses:  There are many townhouses in East Greenbelt.

Single-Family Homes: There are just a few of these, mainly located in the North end of old Greenbelt, and around Greenbelt lake.

Shared living: In the neighboring area of College Park many rooms and opportunities for shared housing exist. There are many students of University of Maryland in this area and their housing service is a great tool for living in this area.

Real estate: rentals/sales

To buy a house you should contact a real estate agent.  They can also handle rentals.
