Muslims Establish Board
Belgian Muslims will be able soon to choose their own representatives. The most important Muslim organizations in Belgium have finally reached an agreement, after 25 years, to form a new board that will interact with the government. The newly established Muslim Board will also include delegates from the smaller Muslim organizations, under the condition of respect for the Belgian principles for the state constitution.
The Muslim Board will be the legal representant of the 300,000 Belgian Muslims and will be charged with dialogue with the Belgian authorities.
