The Festival of Lights is a celebration of holiday events held mainly throughout the month of December. Regardless of the origin of our individual customs and traditions, we welcome the participation of everyone in our community. Come celebrate together as family, friends, and neighbors in the spirit of this special season and the 28th Annual Greenbelt Festival of Lights. Event Calendar December 3 (FRI) 7:00pm - Opening Ceremonies & Holiday Tree Lighting. Enjoy seasonal selections by the Greenbelt Concert Band's brass choir. Santa will arrive for the ceremonial lighting of the tree. All ages. Greenbelt Municipal Building. Call 301-397-2200. December 4-11 - HANUKKAH. HANUKKAH LINKS.
