New Swimmers

Children registering for the Jr/Sr swim team must be at least 6 years of age, have had swim lessons or swimming experience and be able to swim at least one length of the pool.

All new swimmers registering for the swim team will be evaluated by one of the Jr/Sr Team swim coaches to assess their swimming ability. Swimmers "moving up" from the Developmental Program will also be evaluated for their readiness to join the Jr. Team.

Evaluations will be held at the pool Jan 6 and 7 (Tues. and Wed.) at 5:00 - 5:45 in the observation area. All swimmers must have a suit and be prepared to swim. Registration will follow the evaluation session.

Developmental Program

The Developmental Program is a "feeder program" for GMST's Jr. Team. Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 7 as of May 31st of this current year and have taken and passed a beginners swim program at the pool.

Participants must be able to swim 10 yards AND have the approval of the registrar.

Space in this program is very limited. Registrations will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis. Registrations received after the class has been filled will be put on a waiting list for slot availability.
